The X-Factor programs on offer for Term 3 2026 are:

Technical Skills

Players will develop their core actions, focusing specifically on first touch, passing, receiving, and finishing. This program allows players to enhance their individual skills in an intense, small group environment.

  • Youth Technical Skills is for players U13 and older
  • Junior Technical Skills is for players U12 and younger

Speed Training

Designed to help players enhance their speed, with a focus on movement and technique. Players will receive personalised, in-depth breakdowns of their running profile, as well as bespoke coaching to improve their athletic DNA.

Striking & Finishing

In these sessions, players will develop their ball striking skills, with an emphasis on repetition and individual feedback. Players will work closely with coaches to improve delivery & finishing. This program also includes set piece training.

Strength Development (Youth League only)

Players will further enhance their strength training, with these sessions designed to supplement the club’s team-based strength sessions. This part of the program provides individual coaching of resistance training exercises and the creation of individual strength training programs, enabling players to develop confidence in strength and gym settings.

Goalkeeping (Youth League only)

Aspiring goalkeepers will work closely with experienced coaches to develop shot-stopping, distribution, and goalkeeper handling in a small group setting. These sessions complement team-based goalkeeper training and are aimed at shot stoppers who are keen to take their game to another level.

Harper Pell and Junior Matildas qualify for the U17 World Cup!

Congratulations to Women’s 1st Grade player Harper Pell and the Junior Matildas – they have qualified for this year’s U17 Women’s World Cup, after making the semi-finals of the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup!

Australia finished second in their group after defeating India 2-0, drawing 1-1 with Lebanon, and losing 5-0 to Japan. This ensured progress to the quarter-finals, where the Junior Matildas won 2-0 against Vietnam to secure both a semi-final spot and a place in the U17 World Cup.

Unfortunately, Australia’s tournament run ended after a 4-0 loss to Japan in the semi-finals.

NWS Spirit FC is proud of Harper and the work she has put in to become a member of both the U17 national team and our 1st Grade squad.

The U17 Women’s World Cup will be held from 17 October – 7 November in Morocco.
