The trial dates have been confirmed for Spirit FC’s Womens Youth League (WYL) program and NWSF’s Association Youth League for players interested in selection for our 2025 squads.
Association Youth League
AYL is a full-time representative program that competes in Football NSW competitions. AYL teams train three times a week until May, and then twice a week from May to October. The competition season is 27 rounds, and includes a finals series, taking place from March to September. It is closely linked to NWS Spirit FC and complements our representative pathway as the connection between our local NWSF clubs, and NPL.
The AYL program is exclusively for players who were registered with an NWSF local club in 2024, and/or live in the association boundaries. A map of the association boundaries can be viewed here.

Logistics
Please note the following logistics…
- Trials WILL proceed if it is raining. Trials will only be cancelled if there is lightning close by.
- Arrive 15 minutes before the trial with a ball, water bottle and sunscreen. Players wear their football kit, shin pads and football boots. Players do not have to check in.
- Trials generally last for 90 minutes.
- Unsuccessful trialists will NOT be provided feedback due to the volume of players trialing.
Please also note…
- All players MUST trial in their correct age group.
- For AYL, to attend trials, you must live within the NWSF boundaries, or have had a 2024 winter season registration with a NWSF club. If your child attends trials, is selected but does not meet this criteria, the offer will be withdrawn.
- Training days and times for 2025 are to be confirmed. As a guide, Youth League squads typically train two evenings (either 4.30 to 6pm or 6pm to 7.30pm), and one morning session (6am to 7.30am)
If you have a question then please wait until trials, as you will have an opportunity to ask questions then. If you have registered and then are NOT attending trials, you do not need to contact the office.
Our Youth League programs are built on our framework for player development, the NWSF DNA, which has its own website where you can learn more about who we are.
